The new generation of the Honda Civic Hatchback will arrive in dealerships on October 1st. We've already seen the sedan, so we have a very good idea of the quality of the vehicle that is about to arrive. While waiting for the model, we now know its price, recently revealed by Honda Canada.
Let's see what the company has in store for us with its product.
As for the prices, let's go straight to the invoice that will be required for the three versions that will decorate the catalog. The LX version will be offered at $28,000, the Sport variant will sell for $31,500 and the Sport Touring version will be $35,000.
To all these prices, you have to add $1,700 for shipping and preparation costs.
As for the powertrains, there are two suggested mills. The LX version is powered by the company's 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine (158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque) while the other two are powered by the 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque). Note that in each case, a six-speed manual transmission is available, as is a continuously variable automatic transmission [CVT]. There is no difference in price between the two.
Equipment-wise, it starts with a generous offering with the LX model [heated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps, push-button start and LED headlights, among others] and ends with a full complement with the Sport Touring variant that offers LED fog lights, a Bose audio system, a nine-inch screen instead of a seven-inch screen for the multimedia system, as well as a digital display instrument cluster [customizable unit].
In the middle of the range, with the Sport model, there is a heated steering wheel, an eight-speaker sound system, a sport pedal, black body accents, chrome exhaust tips, and sport seats specific to this version.
The Civic Hatchback promises to please and meet expectations. Schedule a visit to the dealership to see it for yourself.
