The 2022 Honda Civic Type R is coming and it is coming very soon. This week Honda unveiled the first image of the all new Type R and although the car was camouflaged, we can still see a couple of important details. Honda also released limited information that should get enthusiasts excited.

For starters, Honda promises that the new Civic Type R will be the most powerful model in the vehicle's long history. The current Civic Type R is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that releases 306 horsepower as well as 295 pound-feet of torque.

We don't know if Honda will replace the engine or simply improve it, but what we do know is that it will certainly be quicker and probably more efficient as well. The new Civic Type R should also handle better and be even more engaging to drive.

Honda says we will see the new Type R this year which is great news. With the improvements made to the 2022 Honda Civic, we should get a new Type R that will be even better than the previous model which was hard to beat.
